Looking like it’s fresh from the shop, Conrail SD45-2 6666 is paired with an SD40-2 as a helper set drifting to Altoona from Cresson, Pennsylvania. The big EMD soldiers on today as NS 1705.

CR 6666 and 6660, ex-EL SD-45-2s, are the snappers on Mail 3H this October afternoon as the train enters Horseshoe Curve. The position light signal bridge no longer remains and that's a shame.

Four SD45-2's helped a coal train down off of Horseshoe Curve. They will cut off and then be ready to push another westbound train up.
